He was born July 11, 1930 in Yorkshire England.
In 1964, Gordon met Heather at Notre Dame de Grace and they married in 1966. Together they travelled the world by car, plane and cruise ships.
His hobbies included: reading, camping, woodworking, gardening, miniatures and he had a passion for motorcycles. He also enjoyed listening to and playing the bagpipes.
He did his service time in the RAF before moving to Canada at the age of 27. He worked at Canada's first line of defence, the northern radar lines servicing machinery. He transferred to Ontario while being a service manager for Gross Machinery and later went to work at Ford as a millwright.
He is survived by his wife Heather, son Scott and daughter in law Sarah and his granddaughters Brooke and Lauren. He will be missed by his grand puppy Riggs. He embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and a wonderful sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by beloved family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Margaret’s Place and ask that any donations be made to this hospice or St. James Anglican Church in Dundas.
Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
