It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeff Gardner, a beloved husband, father, papa, and friend, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Jeff is lovingly remembered by his wife Laurene, with whom he shared lifetime of love and partnership. He was a proud and dedicated father to Craig (Krista) and Blair (Molly), and cherished Papa to Emma, Avery and Morgan, who brought him endless joy and pride. Jeff dedicated 37 years of his professional life to Dofasco, where he worked in the engineering department. He was a long time resident of Dundas, where he raised his family, worked on endless construction projects and was a dedicated curler and instructor at the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club. After his retirement from Dofasco, he moved up to his cottage where he was deeply involved in the Shawenegog lake community. He will be remembered for his problem solving spirit, his quick wit, his vast knowledge, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved. Visitation will take place at Marlatt Funeral Home, 195 King St. W., Dundas, on Wednesday, June 25th from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Jeff's life will be held in the chapel on Thursday, June 26th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bladder Cancer Canada.
