Gerald will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Brigitte Stricker, who shared his life and memories, along with her daughters, Michele (Mario) Pulsone and Monika (John) Alexander. He will also be lovingly remembered by his family and friends, whose lives were touched by his presence.
Gerald was predeceased by his parents, John and Joanne Stricker, and his brother, Walter Stricker. He is survived by his sisters, Jennie Fleet (the late Howard), Dolores Dunn (Mike), and Rose Marie Stricker. Godfather to his nephews John Howcroft and Sean Urquhart, he was dearly loved by his many nieces and nephews, their spouses, and their children. All will carry his memory in their hearts.
The family extends their heartfelt and sincere gratitude to Gerald's doctors, nurses, and volunteers at Juravinski Hospital, as well as Dr. A. Taniguchi, nurses and team at St. Peter's Hospital, for the compassionate care, kindness, and incredible support they provided to him and his family.
Gerald will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will remain a cherished part of all our lives, and he will never be forgotten.
A visitation will be held at Marlatt funeral home, Swackhamer Chapel, 195 King Street West, Dundas, on Thursday, September 17th from 4:00-8:00pm, with prayers held at 7:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine’s parish, 58 Sydenham Street, Dundas, on Friday, September 18th at 11:00am, with an interment to follow at St. Augustine’s cemetery, Dundas. A small reception gathering will be held following the interment at Marlatt funeral home, Swackhamer Chapel.
