With sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Joyce at Shalom Village LTC on June 12, 2026.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband Ted (2012) and her daughter Janet (2025).
Survived by her children Peter (Susan) and Jillann (Bryan) Fines. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Katharine, Mark, Vanessa, Cody and step grandson Spencer Mitchell.
Joyce was always cheerful, energetic, frank and intelligent. She served as Past President of The Catholic Womens League and was a strong advocate for those afflicted with schizophrenia and their families.
She delighted in being a grandmother and was engaged, supportive and generous with all of them. Nothing pleased her more than witnessing her family grow with her great grandchildren William, Sydney, Nathan, Ayden, Ariana, Henry and Daisy.
Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service is pending.
