Silvia Elena Ravida

With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of Silvia Ravida at Margaret’s Place Hospice, Dundas, on Friday, August 22, 2025 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of Felix (long-time barber in Dundas) for 62 years.

Loving mother of Anna DiFazio and her husband Joe, Sam and his partner Fiona Kolahdooz, and Ernesto (predeceased). Cherished Nanna of Joanna (Mathieu), Katarina (Sean), Anthony (predeceased), and Matthew (Sarah). Dear sister of Anna Barbuto (Teodoro-predeceased), Joe Mongiardi (Nancy), and sister-in-law of Maria Genovese (Nicola). Predeceased by her sister Maria Condemi (Giuseppe), and sisters and brothers-in-law Carmela Pipito (Fortunato), Antonina Ravida (Giovanni), Giuseppina Coppolino (Salvatore), and Tindaro Ravida.

Silvia found great happiness sharing time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “Swackhamer Chapel”, 195 King Street West, Dundas, on Tuesday, August 26th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 58 Sydenham Street, Dundas, on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025 at 10am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.

Donations, in her memory, may be made to Margaret’s Place Hospice, Dundas.
