Valerie Diane Spence (nee Beamish)

Valerie was the devoted wife and best friend of William "Bill" Spence, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Bill and Val were married for 67 years and together they built a family that became their greatest source of pride and joy. Cherished mother of Bill Spence (Bonnie) and Wendy Jeffery (Bill). Valerie's love for her children was unconditional, and she found immense happiness in every milestone they shared together. She was a proud grandmother to Billy Spence (Daniella) and Bradley Spence (Marena) and a deeply devoted Nan to her precious great-granddaughter Lilly Spence, who brought endless light and happiness into her life.

Predeceased by her parents Claire and George Beamish, her brothers Gary Beamish and Robert Beamish, as well as her in-laws Shirley Beamish, Robert and Joanne Spence.

Valerie leaves behind, her sister Judy Graham, brother Don Beamish (Kathy), and sister-in-law Joan Beamish, along with many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Valerie will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the warmth she shared with everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcomed, loved, and cared for, leaving a lasting impression on all the lives she touched.

Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in the countless memories she gave us and the legacy of love, strength, and compassion she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their love, support, and condolences during this very difficult time. Forever in our hearts.

Visitation to take place from 11:00am - 1:00pm, on August 11, 2026 at the Marlatt Funeral Home with a service to follow in the Swackhamer Chapel, 195 King St West, Dundas, Ontario. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
