

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who lived a life rooted in faith, hard work, and love for his family.
Wesley worked as a skilled welder with Babcock and Wilcox and was also a dedicated farmer. His strong work ethic and commitment to his craft left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
A faithful Christian, Wesley was an active member of Thrive Church (http://tchurch.ca), where he found community, strength, and purpose.
Family
Wesley is survived by his beloved wife, Gerda Vandevrie of St. George; his children, Sharon Edwards (Carlos Leite) of Brantford, and Ken Vandevrie (Amie) of Hamilton.
He was a proud grandfather to Katie Edwards (Connor McGilvery) and Melody Edwards (Dan Williams) of Brantford; great-grandfather to Ellen Williams and Owen Williams of Brantford; Kurtis Vandevrie (Hannah) of Smithville and great-granddaughter Poppy Vandevrie; Quenton Vandevrie (Annika) of Hamilton; and Russel Vandevrie (Rachael) of St. Catharines.
Wesley is also survived by his sisters, Marianne Vogel (Arie) of Dundas, Audrey Brink of Hamilton (late John Brink), and Margaret Deblieck (Jos) of Lynden; and his sister-in-law, Reta Vandevrie of Wingham, wife of his late brother Auki Vandevrie.
His love of God, faith, and kindness will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and these qualities will forever remain a part of his legacy.

A private interment will be held at Mt Zion Cemetery, Hamilton ON (Copetown)
Celebration of life Service will be held at Calvary Christian Reformed Church, 265 Middletown Rd, Hamilton, ON. at 12 noon August 7th, 2025
