Alejandro Gamero

Alejandro Gamero, 76, of Hartford, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Manchester Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of Emma “Betty” (Qwistgaard) Gamero.

Born in Chimbote, Perú on December 12, 1944, he was the son of the late Gamaniel and Dionicia (Loza) Gamero. Alejandro was a welder and a very talented one at that. He loved spending time with his family and brought happiness and laughter everywhere he went.

He is survived by his wife Emma (Betty) and children Manuel, Marleni, Viviana, Guiselle, Oliver, and Daniel. He is also survived by his siblings Ella, Angela, Elva, Norma, and Luis. Lastly, he is survived by his many grandchildren that love him dearly.

Alejandro also went by the name of “Papi Gama”. He was most known for his famous words of wisdom, which he would always leave with his family whenever he would see them. Papi Gama always lived life to the fullest and believed that true happiness is more important than any materialistic items. He was also quite a jokester and just loved making everyone laugh. He was the sunshine in all of his loved one’s lives. He will be dearly missed.

A private prayer service will be held for immediate family. Burial will take place at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Arrangements have been entrusted to the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford, CT.

Papi Gama siempre vivió la vida al máximo y creyó que la verdadera felicidad es más importante que cualquier material. También era un buen jokester y le encantaba hacer reír a todos. Él era el sol en todas nuestras vidas. Le echaremos mucho de menos.
