

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amy Elizabeth Wilson, 49, of South Windsor, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, surrounded by her family at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on February 5, 1975, youngest sibling of the late James H. and Mary (Fitzgerald) Wilson and her best friend and fur baby Bella. Amy had resided most of her life in East Hartford prior to moving to South Windsor recently. She was a graduate of East Hartford High School class of 1993. She was a natural extrovert that enjoyed gatherings with friends, making people laugh, singing, dancing and caring about others.
Amy is survived by her sister Marie (Wilson) O’Brien and her husband Ed of South Windsor and her brother Rob Wilson and his wife Carleen of Manchester; several beloved nieces and nephews; Eric O’Brien and his wife Amie; Alison Guillet and her husband Kyle; Ashley O’Brien; Jonathan O’Brien; Steven Crispim, Jennifer Flanagan and her husband Trevor; and Joshua Wilson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and five great nieces and nephews. Amy had an amazing friend base, her “tribe”, of which she cherished spending time with, talking to and who she held near and dear to her heart. Most importantly her childhood friends Jessica and Stacy who are part of our extended family and considered “sisters from other misters”. The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation for the medical professionals that supported Amy to include her team of specialists, PCP and Hartford Hospital doctors, nurses and medical staff.
A funeral service to honor Amy’s life will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 5 – 5:30 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street East Hartford. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 4 – 5:00 pm.
