
Andre E. Turgeon, 85 of East Hartford, loving husband of over 36 years of the late Juliette (Fontaine) Turgeon, entered into eternal life on Sunday, July 23, 2017. Born on June 18, 1932 in Canada to the late Honore and Rosalie (Goulet) Turgeon, he had resided in East Hartford for the past 19 years. He was a carpenter for many years in the Hartford area and was a member of the Local Carpenter’s Union #43. Andre was a 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Hartford Council. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Andre also was a talented wine maker who liked to make wine for family and friends to enjoy.
Andre is survived by four children: daughter Lucie Turgeon and her husband Jack Stephens of North Carolina, daughter Louise Turgeon of Manchester, son John Turgeon of North Carolina, and daughter Celine Turcotte and her husband Bertrand of East Hartford; three grandchildren, Paul Turcotte of Manchester, Ryan Turgeon and Casey Turgeon both of North Carolina; two great grandchildren, Madison Turcotte and Nathan Turcotte both of Manchester. He also leaves two brothers, Armand Turgeon of Rocky Hill, Real Turgeon and his wife Gisele of South Windsor; three sisters, Sister Leonie Turgeon of Sherbrooke, Canada, Monique Lucy and her husband Jim of Pennsylvania, Alida Odet of Canada; several nieces, nephews, dear friends, and companion Antoinette Gervais of Hartford. Andre is predeceased by four brothers, Roland Turgeon of Vernon, Misa Turgeon of Vermont and Lionel Turgeon of Canada and Edward Turgeon of Canada.
