Danilo Burgos

Danilo “Danny” Burgos, 41, of West Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Born in Hartford on March 7, 1984, a son of the late Hector Burgos and the late Madeline Mejias, he had been a lifelong resident of the Greater Hartford area, including the past 20 years in West Hartford. Danny was a graduate of A.I. Prince Technical High School in Hartford, class of 2003. He was employed by Plympton & Hills in Manchester and most recently SLG Systems in Windsor Locks. Danny enjoyed playing video games, watching television shows, and being an all-around jokester to everyone he knew. He was also a loyal fan of the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Lakers. Most of all, he was a proud father, son, brother, and uncle to his beloved family.

Danny is survived by two sons, Danilo Burgos, Jr. of Terryville, Darien Luis Burgos of East Hartford; two brothers, Jairo L. Burgos and his wife Darlene Vazquez of Hartford, Christian Mejias of Rocky Hill; a sister, Nyla Mejias of Bristol; his fiancée, Cindy B. Mateo of East Hartford; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday (April 24th) at 11:30 am at Crossroads Community Cathedral, 1492 Silver Lane, East Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the cathedral on Thursday morning. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Danny’s family will receive relatives and friends at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford on Wednesday (April 23rd) from 3 – 6 pm.
