

David N. Tucker, 65, of Bristol and formerly of East Hartford, peacefully journeyed home on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 surrounded by his caring family at his home after a long illness. David was the loving husband for 34 years of Kathleen ""Kathy"" Anne (Russell) Tucker. Born in Norwood, MA on December 23, 1949, a son of the late Eldon G. Tucker and the late Lucille (Lavallee) Mullaney, he had resided in the East Hartford/Glastonbury area for over 40 years, prior to moving to Bristol eight months ago. David was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 32 years by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford as a Machinist in the Testing and Assembling Department. David enjoyed repairing small engines and machines for family and friends and was a loyal Boston Red Sox fan and a lover of animals, especially his dogs, ""Buffy"" and ""Tuck"". Besides his beloved wife, Kathy, David is survived by two daughters, Melissa Anne Hamel and her husband, Martin, of Terryville, Stacy Lynn Tucker of Bristol; three sisters, Carol Everton and her husband, Frank, of Massachusetts, Linda Desrosier and her husband, Bob, of Texas, Melody Cheney and her husband, David, of Massachusetts; a granddaughter, Mikayla; a grandson, Rory; several nieces, nephews, in-laws, former co-workers, and many dear friends. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Eldon G. Tucker, Jr. of Norwich. Funeral service will be Monday (June 15th) at 10:30 am at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial with military honors will follow at the State Veterans Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Sunday (June 14th) from 4-7 pm.
