Diane Miller

Diane M. Miller, 66, of Ellington and formerly of East Hartford, peacefully journeyed to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Smilow Cancer Hospital @ Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Hartford on December 4, 1949, a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Dorothy (DeMaroto) Miller, she had been a resident of East Hartford for most of her life prior to moving to Ellington fifteen years ago. Diane was a graduate of East Hartford High School, Class of 1967 and was a former CNA who cared for individual families in the private sector. She was also employed in the Insurance business for over 45 years by several area insurance companies. Diane was talented in crafts and loved scrap-booking. She also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and plants. Diane will be best remembered as a devoted mother, sister, and aunt who cherished her time with her family and friends. Diane is survived by her beloved daughter, Lindsey A. Edwards and her significant other, James Quealy, of East Hartford; two special brothers, Joseph A. Miller and his wife Jean of Granby, Robert Miller of East Hartford; five adored nephews; several cousins and dear friends. A memorial service celebrating Diane's life will be Tuesday (March 1, 2016) at 6:30 pm at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Diane's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday (March 1st) from 4 - 6:30 pm at the funeral home chapel.
