
Dominick J. Natalie, 83, of East Hartford, loving husband of Marietta 'Mary' (Signorelli) Natalie, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, (March 20, 2010). Born in Hartford on July 1, 1926, a son of the late Dominick and Angelina (D'Alessandro) Natalie, he had resided in East Hartford for the past 52 years. Dominick was a graduate of Bulkeley High School in Hartford, Class of 1944 and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. Prior to his retirement, Dominick was employed for 30 years by the Connecticut Natural Gas Company. A devout Catholic, Dominick was a long-time faithful communicant of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford and a viewer of the daily Mass on television. He was an avid vegetable gardener who enjoyed working around his home. He was also a loyal fan and follower of the UCONN Men and Women basketball teams. Along with his beloved wife, Mary, of over 58 years, Dominick is survived by three sons, Dominick J. Natalie III and his wife, Leslie, of Windsor, Thomas J. Natalie and his wife, Mary Beth, of East Hartford, Robert M. Natalie of East Hartford; a daughter, Amy Emilia Cignoli and her husband, Christopher, of Springfield, MA; two brothers, Joseph Natalie of Wethersfield, John Natalie and his wife, Barbara, of Cape Cod, MA; five sisters, Anna Pagano of Hartford, Grace Piencikowski of Wethersfield, Mary Pavan of Wethersfield, Helen Natalie of Wethersfield, Dolores Giangrave and her husband, Paul, of Newington; four special grandchildren, Eric Natalie of East Hartford, Michael Natalie of East Hartford, Matthew Cignoli at U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO, Elizabeth Cignoli of Springfield, MA; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 24, at 9 a.m. from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, East Hartford. Burial with military honors will be at Veteran's Memorial Field-Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
