Donna Marie Cormier

Donna Marie Cormier, 59, of Glastonbury and formerly of East Hartford, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Hartford Hospital with her caring family by her side. Born in Hartford on August 17, 1955, a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Donata G. (Cyr) Cormier, she had been a resident of the East Hartford/Glastonbury area most of her life. Donna was a graduate of George J. Penney High School in East Hartford, Class of 1972. She was involved with the Inter-Community Mental Health of East Hartford and was a talented crafts woman.

Donna is survived by two sisters, Patricia “Patty” Cormier and her spouse, Lisa Garon, of Harwich Port, MA, Laurie Byer and her husband, James, of Lake Elsinore, CA; a brother, Michael E. Cormier and his wife, Diane, of Marlborough; three nephews, John Cormier and Daniel Cormier both of Marlborough, Mitchell Byer of Lake Elsinore, CA; a niece, Allison Byer of Lake Elsinore, CA; a special friend, Joe Manning; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Donna’s life will be Wednesday (July 22nd) at 11 am at the D’ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will be at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours.
