Enelia Burgos, 92, of East Hartford, loving wife of the late Rafael Oliveras, peacefully entered into eternal life with her beloved family by her side on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at her home. Born in Ciales, Puerto Rico on August 14, 1932, a daughter of the late Isabelle Medina, she had been a resident of East Hartford for over 50 years. Enelia was a hard-working home maker who took great pride in her home and garden. She also loved to always cook for her family and friends to enjoy. Most of all, she was a gentle caring woman who loved her children and was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
Enelia is survived by three sons, Angel Rafael Oliveras and his wife Carmen of East Hartford, Angel Luis Oliveras and his wife Loida of East Hartford, Carlos Oliveras and his wife Nilda of East Hartford; two daughters, Maria M. Olivera and her husband Juan Rojas of East Hartford, Maria L. Oliveras of East Hartford; a sister, Conselo Medina of Hartford; seventeen special grandchildren; fourteen adored great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Hilda Oliveras of Hartford.
Funeral service will be Monday (February 3rd) at 12 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with Pastor Roberto Calcano officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, (Section G-Extension), Burnside Avenue, East Hartford.
