

Franklin “Frankie” C. Drennen, 56, of East Hartford, Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 25, 2024. Frankie passed away surrounded by his closest family and friends. Frankie was born to Greta E. Drennen and James C. Drennen, on November 1, 1967, in Huntsville, Alabama. In 1988, he joined the United States Army and served two tours proudly as a Military Police Officer. He was a talented skillsman who loved to take care of his home through creating, building, and repairing. He worked for Xfinity Comcast and was loved by his Comcast family. Frankie loved to show his love for family through delicious home cooked meals and grilling during every family occasion. Frankie enjoyed spending his free time taking care of his home and playing with his beloved grandson, Landon Lex.
Frankie is survived by his loving wife, Norma, daughter, Kassidy, son Tyler, grandson, Landon, and his sister, Teresa Drennen and her children Jennifer Torres, Lee Ana Torres, and Margarita Velez, along with his great nieces and great nephews. He also is survived by his father-in-law, Luis Santana; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth, Maribel and Marisol Santana; and nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Frankie was predeceased by his parents, Greta and James. Aside for his love for his family and his home, Frankie was passionate about being a veteran, being helpful to others and supporting his friends. Frankie positively impacted our community, and he will be truly missed.
Funeral service celebrating Frankie’s life will be Friday (April 5, 2024) at 12 noon at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford, CT. Frankie’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday morning (April 5, 2024) from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home chapel. Private burial with military honors will be at the State Veterans’ Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown, CT at the convenience of the family.
