Gail Henson-Rosati

Gail (Henson) Rosati, 70, of Manchester, loving wife of over 35 years to James Rosati, peacefully went to join her daughter and husband in heaven on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at her home. Born in Hartford on November 24, 1953, a daughter of the late Richard W. and Lillian (Fischer) Henson, Sr., she spent her formative years in Hartford, across from Goodwin Park. She then moved to the Manchester/East Hartford area for most of her life. Gail was a graduate of East Hartford High School, class of 1971. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Dispatcher for several years by the Hartford Police Department. Gail was an animal lover, and a wonderful cook who enjoyed cooking meals for her family and friends. She also loved going to the beach, especially Old Lyme shores, and was an avid fan of the New York Giants, Boston Red Sox, and UConn Women’s basketball. Most of all, Gail was a devoted wife, mother, and daughter, who took pride in being a special caregiver for her late parents and husband.

Gail is survived by two brothers, Keith J. Henson and his wife Rita of Glastonbury, Jeffrey M. Henson and his wife Jennifer of Somers; two brothers-in-law, Robert Rosati and his wife Lisa of South Windsor, Peter Rosati of South Windsor; a grandchild, Darius Semmens of Manchester; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Along with her beloved husband and parents, Gail was predeceased by her daughter, Ciara Rosati of Manchester and her brother, Richard Henson, Jr.

Funeral service will be Wednesday (April 10, 2024) at 11 am at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Wapping Cemetery, 50 Oakland Road, South Windsor. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday morning (April 10, 2024) from 10 am – 11 am.
