Geraldine Gerry"" Mae (Chambers) Lukas

Geraldine “Gerry” Mae (Chambers) Lukas, 86, of East Hartford, beloved wife for 37 years of the late William Lukas, Jr., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Born in Michigan on May 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Corabell (Swoverland) Chambers. Gerry worked for AARP for many years as a receptionist. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her four sons, William Lukas, III of North Windham, Gregory Lukas and wife Joanne of Glastonbury, Daryl Lukas and Lucie of East Hartford and John Lukas of East Hartford, sister Barbara Swoverland and her five adored grandchildren, Jeffery Lukas, Christine Lukas, Dena Johnson and husband Jeremy, Courtney Lukas and Gregory Lukas as well as three cherished great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Gerry was predeceased by her brother, Donald Swoverland and her sister, Frances Seidman. Gerry’s life revolved around her sons and beloved dog, Diamond.

Funeral services will be Wednesday (January 3) at 11 a.m. at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
