

Janice E. (Moore) Lewandoski, 74, of Middletown and formerly of the Hartford area, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Saturday, July 9, 2016. Janice was the loving wife for over 50 years to the late Lorin E. Briner. Born in Hartford on November 20, 1941, a daughter of the late Alfred and Stella (Naskin) Moore, she had been a resident of the Hartford area and Florida for many years prior to moving to Middletown sixteen years ago. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a Shift Supervisor by Sage- Allen Department Store at Westfarms Mall for many years. Janice was a member of the former Moose Lodge Chapter 1631 in Marlborough and was a member of the AARP. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and cards but most of all, Janice cherished being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
Janice is survived by her three caring sons, Charles “Charlie” Lewandoski and his wife Mary Ellen of East Hartford, Christopher Lewandoski and his wife Linda Desjardins of Marlborough, and Phillip Briner of Portland. She also leaves two brothers, Arthur Moore of Florida and William “Billy” Moore of Manchester; five special grandchildren; six adored great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Besides her beloved husband Lorin and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Moore and Phillip Moore both of Hartford.
Funeral service will be Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11 am at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, (Section 23), Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Friday morning (July 15, 2016) from 10-11 am.
