

Jared Francis Klock, 60, of Avon and formerly of East Hartford, loving husband of over 39 years of Lynn A. (Tamiso) Klock, unexpectedly walked into eternal life on Friday, May 30, 2025 at his home. Born in Hartford on December 15, 1964, a son of Carol (McCue) Klock of Manchester and the late William “Bill” Klock, he had been a lifelong resident of East Hartford prior to moving to Avon three years ago. Jared was a graduate of George J. Penney High School, East Hartford, class of 1982 where he starred in baseball, and earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from Springfield College.
Jared was an entrepreneur Salesman in the greater Hartford area throughout his professional career. His most recent venture was with Masters Commercial Capital Group with his friend and business partner, Bill Canny, and his son Brian.
Baseball was a huge passion in Jared’s life. He was a coach and manager for the American Legion Post #77 in East Hartford for several years. He was at the helm when the East Hartford team went to the American Legion National World Series two consecutive years, 1991 and 1992, finishing fourth nationally in both seasons. He was also an avid golfer, reader, and was a grill master with his smoker grill. Most of all, Jared was a simple gentleman who was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother who cared about doing the right thing and was always present to his family and close friends.
Along with his beloved wife Lynn and his mother, Jared is survived by a son, Brian J. “BJ” Klock of Avon; a daughter, Shannon M. Artikes and her husband Nicholas of East Hampton; three brothers, Jeffrey Klock of Conway, SC, Jason Klock and his wife Karen of Vernon, Jonathan Klock and his wife Michelle of Hebron; a sister-in-law, Denise M. Mayo of East Hartford; brother-in-law, Mark Tamiso; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Besides his father, Jared was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stephen A. and Mary (Del Rocco) Tamiso of East Hartford, and a brother-in-law, Robert F. Mayo of East Hartford.
A memorial service celebrating Jared’s life will be Wednesday (June 11th) at 11 am at the Valley Community Baptist Church, 590 West Avon Road, Avon. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jared’s name may be made to the Valley Community Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 590 West Avon Road, Avon, CT 06001.
