Jo-Ann Gracia

Jo-Ann was born in Hartford, CT, the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Abbey) Krempasky. She retired from Bank of America, where she worked in the Home Equity Department for many years.

Jo-Ann will be fondly remembered for her many special talents. She was a gifted crocheter, creating beautiful dolls with meticulous care. Her love of gardening was evident in the herbs she grew and used to create delicious meals, especially when hosting family and friends. Above all, Jo-Ann cherished the time spent with her granddaughter, Abbey, with whom she enjoyed shopping and making memories.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Tucci and her husband Paul of Broad Brook, her cherished granddaughter Abbey Tucci, her brother Frank Castro of Farmington, her sister Deborah McTeague and her husband Raymond of Vero Beach, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews. Jo-Ann was predeceased by her son, Richard Gracia, and her sister-in-law, Constance Castro.

Jo-Ann will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 6:30 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date.
