
Jose Luis Roman, 61, of Manchester, passed away at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Manchester on Friday (January 22, 2010). He was born on March 6, 1948, to the late Clemencia (Cuevas) and Alejandro Roman. Jose married his sweetheart Doris (Diaz) Roman on November 25, 1966, in Perth Amboy, NJ. Jose was a police officer for 20 years at the University of Connecticut in Storrs. But most of all he was a devoted husband, father and loved to spend time with his family (especially his grandchildren). Jose leaves behind his loving wife, Doris Roman of 44 years, two sons, Daniel Roman and Frankie Roman and two daughters Julissa Roman and Jessica Roman, 16 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and one on the way. He also is survived by seven sisters, eight brothers, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jose always wanted to travel and now is his time to reunite with his late son, Jose Luis Roman Jr., and see the world. A husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, you will be sorely missed by all your family and friends. We love you!! Goodbye till the day we all meet again... Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 26, at 11 a.m., at Crossroads Community Cathedral, 1492 Silver Lane, East Hartford. Jose's family will receive relatives and friends at the Cathedral, on Tuesday morning, from 10-11 a.m. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
