Karen (St. Jean) Gillespie, 48, of East Hartford, peacefully passed away on Friday (October 12, 2007) at her home. Born in Hartford on September 21, 1959 she had been a lifelong resident of East Hartford and a graduate of East Hartford High School, Class of 1977. Karen was formerly employed for several years by the State of Connecticut as a Data Processor. Her father, Conrad J. St. Jean, whom passed away this past May, predeceased Karen. Karen is survived by her dedicated mother, Priscilla (Ouellette) St. Jean of East Hartford; two sisters, Nanette Landry and her husband Stephen, and Gail Breton and her husband Gary, all of South Windsor; three nephews and one niece, Matthew and Bryan Landry both of New York City, NY, and Carlee and Jeremy Breton both of South Windsor; and a special friend, Marty Whalen of East Hartford. Private funeral and burial service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
