Kenneth “Ken” A. DeJohn, 62, of Manchester and formerly East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2020. Born in Hartford on January 22, 1957, he was the beloved son of Barbara J. (Addis) Brezinski of East Hartford and the late Raymond DeJohn. Ken was a 1975 graduate of George J. Penney High School in East Hartford and received his Associate’s degree from Manchester Community College. He worked at Pratt & Whitney for 13 years and lived most of his life in East Hartford prior to moving to Manchester three years ago. Ken was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox. His family and friends will forever miss his smile. A loving brother and uncle, Ken is survived by his brother, Richard DeJohn and wife Michele of East Hartford; his sister, Linda M. (DeJohn) Bantell and husband John of Hebron; his nephew, Adam Bantell and wife Stephanie of Black River Falls, WI and his niece, Emily Kubena and husband Richard of Columbia. Special thanks to the staff at Touchpoints and Beacon Hospice for their care and compassion. Calling hour will be Friday (January 10) from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. St. Edmund Campion Parish at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford. I'm so sorry for the passing of your brother Kenny. I grew up hanging out with him and others at Willowbrook School. May he rest in peace.
