Laurien Leo Joseph ""Larry Gagne

Laurien Leo Joseph “Larry” Gagne, 86, of East Hartford, loving husband of 40 years to the late Leona (Giroux) Gagne, passed away unexpectedly at home on Christmas morning, December 25, 2016, his favorite holiday. He was born in Waterville, Maine on January 18, 1930 to the late Ephrem and Clara (Giguere) Gagne.

He retired from Emhart and enjoyed vacationing on Block Island with his family. Larry was a wonderful husband, father, pépère, grand-pépère, uncle and friend. He was the sweetest, kindness and most generous man and will truly be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace, Larry. We love you.

He will sadley be missed by his daughter LeeAnn Calvo and her husband Thomas, three grandchildren; Ryan, Nikole and Casey Calvo and great-grandson Rocco Calvo, his sister Jeanette Belanger, sister-in-law Theresa Gagne as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Relatives and friends may call at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford on Friday (December 30, 2016) from 9-10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 36 Cambridge Drive, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2080 Silas Deane Hwy, 2nd Floor, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
