
Margaret 'Peggy'(Chilone) Mealey, 76, of East Hartford, loving wife of the late Robert Mealey, entered into eternal life on Friday, (April 30, 2010). Born in Hartford on July 25, 1933, a daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Mascaro) Chilone, she had resided in East Hartford for most of her adult life. Peggy was a former communicant of St. Rose Church, East Hartford who also enjoyed listening to music and playing cards. Peggy was a sports enthusiast who was a loyal fan of the New York Yankees and Boston Celtics. Along with her beloved husband and parents, Peggy was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas Chilone and Francis 'Moose' Chilone; and a sister, Clara Morin. Peggy is survived by a daughter, Jill M. Carr and her husband, Francis, of Manchester; a son, John A. 'Jack' Frascarelli and his wife, Lora, of South Windsor; a brother, Salvatore Chilone of East Hartford; four special grandchildren, Leah, Anthony, Ryan, and Dustin; two adored great-grandchildren, Trevor and Giovanni; two dear nieces, Peggy Horvith and Gloria Lasinsky; and several other nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 5, at 10 a.m. at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will be at Hillside cemetery, East Hartford.
