

Michael Turner Pare, 84, of East Hartford, entered into eternal life with his children by his side on February 11, 2025. Born on April 26, 1940, in Noranda, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Wilfrid and Hazel (Hamilton) Pare. After High School, Michael enlisted into the army and was a proud veteran. After being honorably discharged, Michael and his loving wife, Colette settled down in East Hartford to raise their family. Prior to retirement, he worked for Emhart Glass. In his free time, Michael enjoyed watching NASCAR and hockey. Most importantly he was a big fan of Elvis Presley. He had a passion for cooking. He always enjoyed taking trips to Canada visiting family members and also taking trips down to the shore as well, where he would enjoy a nice meal of fish and chips. Michael was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and cherished his family time the most. He could never spend enough time with them.
Michael is survived by his wife Colette (Dion) Pare, and his three children; Linda Grimard and her husband Bruno, Michael Pare and his significant other Paula Martin, and Nathalie Laprise and her husband Réal. Six adored grandchildren; Evan, Jacqueline, Erica, Philip, Corey, and Emily. Two great-grandchildren. His brother Hamilton Pare and his wife Nicole, and two brothers-in-law; Claude Dion and his wife Constance and Michel Dion and his partner Jacinthe.
Funeral services for Michael will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s name to Disabled Veterans National Foundation, 4601 Forbes Blvd. – Suite #130 Lanham, MD 20706.
