Robert “Bob” Braiewa, 62 of East Hartford, loving son, brother, uncle and dear friend, peacefully passed away at home Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Bob was born in Hartford, July 22, 1958, he was one of five children to the late Edward and Janet (Goggin) Braiewa. Raised in East Hartford, Bob attended East Hartford Schools, after which, he decided to join the military, serving our country in the Army. Once his term was complete, he continued to serve in the National Guard.
Bob was blessed with a natural gift as a very talented musician. From the age of 6, Bob would continuously bug his parents for a drum set. By age 11 his wish came true. From the moment he sat down and began banging on those drums, it was as if he had been playing all his life. Bob decided that playing the drums was not enough, he decided to teach himself the guitar as well.
Bob will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his loving family; a daughter and son in law, Michelle and Victor Montalvo of Somerville, SC; a sister Lynn Miller; a nephew, Robert A. Miller; two nieces, Christine Lovos and Lena Arnson, all of East Hartford; five grandchildren, Anthony, Jordan, Tyler, Alexis and Connor; as well as his close musical friend David; and his three dear friends, Robert, Dave and Clayton. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by a daughter Tina; two brothers John and Richard; as well as his sister Patricia Braiewa.
