

Robert G. Lang ""Bubba"", 83, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Carmelita (Graham) Lang ""Candy"", unexpectedly passed away Saturday, (April 9, 2011). He was born May 24, 1927 in Beecher Falls, VT, the son of the late Walter and Juliet (Lefevere) Lang. A Disabled American Veteran, Bubba served his country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Navy. Prior to his retirement in 1994, he was employed as the Director of Security at Stanley Works. He was a security and World War II history buff. Including Candy, his wife of 66 years, Bubba is survived by a son, Michael R. Lang and his wife Charlene of Ellington, a daughter Patricia Harris and her husband David of West Brookfield, MA; six grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Centrella. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 14 at 10 a.m. at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
