

Born on December 20, 1934, in Puerto Rico, she was the beloved daughter of the late Virginia Rivera and Juan DeJesus. Prior to retirement, Teresa dedicated her career to nursing, caring for others with the same compassion and kindness she shared with everyone in her life.
Teresa found joy in cooking, dancing, and listening to music. She will be remembered for her sweet smile, big heart, and the love she so freely gave. Above all, family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and generations beyond.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jesus Diaz; her eight cherished children, Armando, Eva, Evelyn, Sonia, Pedro, Wanda, Maria, and Carlos; her caring sister, Ana; as well as many adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Teresa was predeceased by her brother Juan DeJesus.
The family extends a special thanks to her granddaughters Yanexis T. Diaz and Daisy Rodriguez, whose loving care and devotion brought comfort and peace to Teresa.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22, at 11 a.m. at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
