Thomas John Cardell

Thomas John Cardell, 54, of East Hartford, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, (November 6, 2007) at his home. He was born in Hartford, loving son of Thomas and June (Gardner) Cardell of East Hartford and had lived in the area all of his life. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, and was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. Tom was a graduate of East Hartford High School and he attended M.C.C. and received an associate degree in General Studies. He was an avid New York Yankee and New York Giants fan. Besides his parents he leaves his loving family, a son, Matthew Cardell of Manchester; a brother, Denis Cardell and his wife, Deborah of Glastonbury; nephew, Michael and niece, Amanda Cardell both of Glastonbury, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Christopher, paternal grandparents, Thomas and Mary (Rizzuto) Cardell, maternal grandmother Theresa Gardner. Friends and family may call at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford on Friday from 4 - 6 p.m. with a 6 p.m. funeral service to follow. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
