
Thomas J. Eldridge, 65, of East Hartford, loving husband of 42 years to Elaine (Shenk) Eldridge, went to the endless buffet on Wednesday (June 18, 2008). Born on November 1, 1942 in Middletown, a son of the late Thomas F. and Helen (Sokolowski) Eldridge, he had been a resident of East Hartford for many years. Thomas was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was employed as a mechanic by Hamilton Sundstrand in Windsor Locks. Besides his parents a sister, Georgiann Rice, predeceased him. Along with his devoted wife, Elaine, Thomas is survived by two sons, Thomas W. Eldridge of Coventry, Steven R. Eldridge and his wife, Kimberly, of Vernon; a daughter, Lynne M. Rawlinitis and her husband, Keith, of Manchester; a special granddaughter, Riley Grace Rawlinitis of Manchester; a grandson soon to be born; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 24 with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford. (Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church). Burial with military honors will be at 2 p.m. at the Bourne Massachusetts National Veterans Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, MA. There are no calling hours.
