

Timothy Parent, 51, of East Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 1, 2015. Born in Hartford on March 24, 1964, he had been a life-long resident of East Hartford. Tim was a graduate of Howell Cheney Technical High School in Manchester, Class of 1982. Tim was a talented self-employed Carpenter and Contractor in the East Hartford/Glastonbury area for over 30 years. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed camping and boating, especially at Laurel Locks Campground where he had numerous friends. A hard-working individual, Tim always looked forward to getting away every week on Friday evenings to Laurel Locks to participate in “horse-shoes’ with his good friends. Most of all, Tim was a loving and devoted family man who loved spending time with all of them.
Tim is survived by his life partner and best friend, Donna Cooney of East Hartford with whom he resided with; two brothers, Brian J. Parent and his fiancée, Eileen Manning of Manchester, Glenn A. Parent and his wife, Wendy, of Port St. Lucie, FL; three “step-sons”, Darren Freeman of Moodus, Daniel Freeman and his wife, Anna, of South Windsor, Christopher Ragazzi of East Hartford at his home; his father, Morris Parent and his wife, Bobbi, of Palmyra, ME; three “grandchildren”, Vanessa Freeman, Peter Freeman, Melina Freeman; a nephew, Josh Parent of Manchester; two nieces, Kaylee Parent and Lindsey Parent both of Port St. Lucie, FL; his loving dog and companion, Soffee; many dear friends, customers, and extended family members. Tim was predeceased by his beloved mother, Joyce Marie (Voisine) Parent.
Funeral service will be Thursday (November 5th) with a celebration of Tim’s life at 7 pm at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
