William F. Barnett

William F. “Bill” Barnett, 55, of East Hartford, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, with family members by his side at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on March 30, 1970, the son of Monica (Kilcoyne) Barnett of East Hartford and the late William J. Barnett, he had been a life-long resident of East Hartford. Bill enjoyed his youth and attending schools in East Hartford with his friends. Bill was a Project Manager at Valcor Communications, Main Street, East Hartford for the past 18 years. He was a member of the East Windsor Sportsman’s Club and was an avid, loyal fan of the Boston Bruins, New England Patriots, and Boston Red Sox. Most of all, Bill was a devoted son, brother, and uncle who enjoyed spending time with his entire family.

Along with his mother Monica of East Hartford, Bill is survived by his two caring sisters, Maureen E. Barnett and her partner Mark Estes of South Glastonbury, and Mary Kate Alexander and her husband Jim of Winter Garden, FL. He also leaves a niece, Sarah Alexander and a nephew, Joshua Alexander both of Winter Garden, FL; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday (July 12th) at 9 am from the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am at St. Paul’s Church of SS. Isidore and Maria Parish, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Burial will follow at Green Cemetery, Hubbard Street, Glastonbury. Bill’s family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home chapel on Friday (July 11th) from 4 – 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
