William (Bill) MacDonald, 68, of Vernon, passed away on December 17. Bill was a proud Marine serving in the Vietnam conflict, then later as a guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington, D.C. Bill worked in the world of computers, helping to convert data systems for the Y2K change.
Left behind to honor his memory are his sisters Norma; Eileen and her partner Joseph DiBiagio; nephews Jeffrey Dickson and Steven Lysiak; his partner Geraldine Huffield and her children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his lifelong friend/brother, Keith Niziankiewicz. Bill was predeceased by his nephew Gregory Dickson.

A burial service will be held on Monday, December 30 at 10:00 a.m. at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane in Middletown, CT. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the gravesite.
