Mijo, you’ve gone too soon, but what brings comfort and peace is that you’ll be rejoicing up in heaven playing your drums alongside your mom and dad. No more pain and no more sorrow.  Rest in peace, Adrian. 🕊️🙏🏼❤️

I remember one day during summer band, we had water balloons, after we got done with them all we dumped the water on him. We all started laughing and we had pizza and soda at the end.

I remember Adrian as a seventh grader playing drum set with my jazz orchestra for the first time and then continuing every year all through high school.  He was always a member of my orchestras and was always ready to take on a summer musical with me.  A great talent and musician, always respectful, always ready to work. It was my privilege to have been his teacher and later his colleague in the El Paso Symphony where we have a shared a stage for many years.  My sympathies to his family.

I met Adrian in the fall semester of 2000 at UTEP and the rest is drum history. Adrian and most other peers from  the UTEP drumline (2000-2003), jazz bands, orchestras, pandemonium, etc... know me as "Jimmy" or my drumline nickname "Cobra". I had the great privilege and honor of drumming alongside Adrian at UTEP. Adrian was one of those drummers that thought he was the best and made a point to prove it to you. With those drumsticks in his hands and that smirk in his face, he truly was great! Adrian, thank you for inspiring and raising the bar... you will surely be missed. The music community is mourning and the drums are silent. To Adrian's family, my deepest condolences  go out to you.  Rest in peace brother Adrian... until we meet again.

Our heart goes out to Adrian’s family. We loved Adrian and thought of him as family. Such a loving young man. Thought and prayers to his wife Rita and his sister Val. You will be missed. ♥️
