

Alice M. Brisson-Bretag passed away October 2, 2010. She was born in Eagle Point Township, MN on March 1, 1924 to Simon and Florence Meyer. Alice and Alex were married July 15, 1944 in Camp McCoy, WI. They were together 39 years, before the love of her life passed away in 1983. Alice worked for Aaronson Brothers Store in Northgate Center, Fashion Cleaners and Hancock Fabrics in Sunrise & Gateway Blvd.
Alice was an Army Wife deserving the title of role model to many. While at Ft. Bliss she was active in the Ladies Sodality at St. Michaels Chapel and Ft. Bliss School PTA. There door was always open to their children’s friends, especially when kids were in need. In 1991 Alice married her second husband, Gerald Bretag. They had10 happy years together before he passed away. Alice was active in the Sol Hjem Chapter of The Norwegian Society of Texas.
Alice was loved dearly and respected greatly by her children, in-laws and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children Thomas David and Laura Lee Brisson, two husbands Alex D. Brisson and Gerald G. Bretag and grandson, Alexis D. Brisson.
She is survived by her children Jerry (Elsa Ramirez) Brisson, Lois (Gerald) Geels, Linda (James) Peschl, Lila (Joe) Grossinger and Jim Brisson. Grandchildren Irene Brisson, Jessica (Matt) Schloss, Daniel Peschl, Robin Grossinger, Jeff (Cathy) Grossinger, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, three brothers, two sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be from 5 to 7 pm and Rosary 7 pm Monday October 11, at Martin Funeral Home, 3839 Montana Avenue. Funeral Mass at 9:45 am Tuesday, Oct 12 at St. Michaels Chapel #2, Ft Bliss, Texas.
