

Mr. Amador Fernandez Holguin, 90, passed away September 25, 2010. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Amador is preceded in death by his parents Urbano Isaac Holguin and Luisa Fernandez Holguin, his brother Salvador Holguin, and his wife 0f 54 years, Amparo Garcia Holguin. Amador is survived by his sister Lydia Holguin, his children, Juanita Holguin, Lydia Holguin Lawrence, Sylvia Holguin Gonzales, Luis Alfredo Rocha and Maria Estela Rocha Salinas, sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Mr. Holguin retired from Farah Manufacturing Company after more than 37 years of service. A World War II veteran, he participated in the campaigns in North Africa, Morocco, Casa Blanca, Sicily, France and Germany in the 223 Quartermasters earning the European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal and the Victory medal. Visitation will be held 5pm to 9pm Wednesday, September 29, at Martin Funeral Home on 3839 Montana Avenue with a 7pm vigil. A member of Saint Joseph Church, Mr. Holguin’s funeral service will be 9:15 Thursday, September 30. Burial with military honors will commence at 10:30 am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Boulevard, El Paso, Texas 79906.Arrangements under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central, El Paso, TX.
