Carlos was the beloved husband of his precious wife, Agnes Swain Munoz of 69 years. She preceded his death in 2019. He was the loving father of five children Carlos Jr, William (Jessie), Yvonne Miles (Edgar), Dianne, and Deborah. His son-in-law, Leonard A.Cardenas, preceded him in his passing in 2014. Carlos will be greatly remembered by his ten grandchildren Melissa, Kristen, Jonathan, Matthew, Carlos, Brandon, Isaac, Teresa, Jacob and Jeremy. His grandson Eric Munoz preceded his passing in 2020. Carlos was the proud great grandfather of River, Hendrix, Kingsley, Silas, Seneca, Kingston, Cedric, and Calvin, including many adoring nephews and nieces.
Carlos’ career as an architect and builder for over 40 years expanded into many large commercial building projects, as well as custom home building. He was one of the senior builders of the mile long Farah Manufacturing Building off of I-10. He also was involved with many large commercial apartment complexes throughout El Paso as well as two prominent television stations on the west side.
He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church for over 50 years, later moving to the west side attending Queen Of Peace Catholic Church with his daughters. Carlos was a very talented musician blessing many who heard him play his acoustic guitar. Being self taught at a very young age, his unique guitar talent was one to behold by all who heard him play at many family gatherings which brought him so much joy.
Visitation for Carlos will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a vigil at 6:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Funeral mass will be Friday, August 2, 2024 at 10:00 am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with interment to follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
