On 1/30/2019 the gates of heaven opened to greet our dear Cecy (Cecilia) Arriola. As she takes her walk to meet her maker; the hands of those that preceded her will be extended. They will kindly take her hand in theirs and guide her to a road she faithfully believed would be glorious.
She was preceded in passing by the parents she dearly loved; her mother Maria Azios Arriola, her father Heriberto Arriola; her brothers Ruben Arriola and Jose M. Arriola. She is survived by her sisters; Teresa A. Ontiveros; Rosa A. Arriola, Martha A. Gandara; Patricia A. Gonzalez, Gloria A. Cano, her brother Heriberto Arriola Jr., and her forever friend Arlene Sambrano.
She was loved dearly by all her nieces and nephews, brother in-laws; and cousins; all who learned about the wonderful life we live in through her eyes and experiences. God’s gift to many was her presence on this earth. Her enduring faith and strength throughout her years was her greatest lesson and accomplishment to those that had the pleasure of knowing her. Not work or any of the numerous accolades she had throughout her federal career compared to the pleasure she took in living her life and sharing that joy.
She was blessed with kind and gentle caregivers that were there throughout the most difficult of times. Her doctors and staff at Sierra Medical Interventional Radiology Dept. were her medical family for years. Their kindness and attention always warmed her heart.
The friends she had were life-long friends and an extension of her family. Her generous and caring way was a gift.
She will be missed everyday of our life. As we released her into the gentle hands of her God; she left us with love and gratitude. If we give something to her from this day forward; it would be to always extend a hand to someone in need. God Bless her and may she see the beauty of her faith alive in the road ahead.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 8:00am at Our lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
