Preceded in death by parents Isidoro and Maria; siblings Ana, Emma, Carmen, Teresa, Mary, Manuel, Alicia, Ricardo, Rodolfo, Luis; longtime friend Alicia Trevino.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Bowie High School, received a Bachelor of Science in the Sciences from Texas Western College to pursue a career as a laboratory technician.
Cecilia later earned Elementary (Bilingual) and Supervisor Teaching Certificates. She worked for El Paso Independent School District and National Teacher Corps at Beall, Alta Vista and Burleson schools.
As a devout Catholic, Cecilia dedicated much of her time and skills to the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration.
Viewing for Cecilia will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm, with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, 145 N. Cotton Street, El Paso, TX 79901. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 8:00 am at Sisters of Perpetual Adoration,145 N Cotton St, El Paso, TX 79901, followed by a committal service at 9:30 am at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, TX 79907.
