He was born April 8th, 1953 in Anthony, New Mexico. He played basketball for Gadsden high school where he met his high school sweetheart, Elia De La Cruz, whom he later married. They celebrated 47 years of marriage in January 2021. David was a sheet metal worker by trade. He loved to crack jokes, the Dallas Cowboys and working outdoors on his lawn.
David was preceded in death by his mother and father. He leaves behind his sister Maria Elena, his brother Victor Ray and his only son David (Dawn), 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue in El Paso, Texas 79903. Burial will follow the Memorial Service at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
