De La Torre, Dolores, 89, was called by our Lord on December 24th, 2021. She left peacefully in the presence of her son, Elias Jr., who has devoted his life caring for both his parents. Dolores was greeted in Heaven by her parents, brothers and sisters and her beloved husband, Elias De La Torre. She is survived by her children, Rosa De La Torre, Elias De La Torre, Jr., Susana Herrera (Jesus), Estela De La Torre, and David De La Torre (Roberta); her cherished grandchildren; Michael, Monica, Orlando, Raelene, Randy, Rosanne, Esteban, Sarah, Brenda, and Linda; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. “Lola” worked many years as a seamstress in the garment industry in El Paso, Texas. Her greatest joys in life were loving and caring for her family by cooking delicious food, celebrating birthdays, endless shopping and ensuring her family were all dressed up. She was known for making up silly nicknames, songs and idioms such as “van estar de Happy New Year.” “Lola” will be surely missed but never forgotten as we will always remember her during the most blessed seasons of all, her favorite, Christmas. A special and heartfelt thanks to her caregiver, Socorro Alvarado, for her unfailing care and graceful kindness toward “Sra. Lolita” in her last years of life.
