

Dt. Ursula Alston was born on December 23rd, 1932 in Berlin, Germany where she graduated from both high school and college. Ursula met her husband Nathaniel Alston in Monterey, California where they later married and took residence in El Paso, Texas in the spring of 1963. She had one son, Fredrieck Ozone who preceded her in death and she is survived by her step-daughter, Jenica Alston-Chronister.Ursula became a proud U.S. citizen in 1964 and went on to be an accomplished, diligent member of O.E.S., P.H.A., Daughters of Imperial Court, The Alston-Kennedy Guild, The German Wives Club and The Military Widows Society. Dt. Alston held many titles and honors with these organizations, often being recognized for her volunteer efforts with countless non-profits. Ursula retired from El Paso State Center of Mental Health and Retardation as a supervisor in the late 1980's, after returning to college and earning a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from the University of Texas-El Paso. Dt. Alston was a devote Christian who always prayed for God to direct her in all her endeavors, of which there were many. Her passing on November 25, 2015 will be memorialized with services at Martin Central, 3839 Montana Ave on Thursday December 3, 2015 from 4:00-9:00 P.M.
