Our Beloved husband and father passed away at home on January 7, 2022. Ed was the son of Miguel and Carmen Martinez of El Paso, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Miguel Rodolfo, and his sister Irene.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Delia, his daughters—Sonia Martinez, Melinda Martinez, DVM, and Ana Martinez, his sister Olga Romelia Trujillo and many nephews and nieces.
Ed was a man of respect, honor, and integrity. He had a great love for his country and was very proud to have served in the United States Army when he was drafted.
He received his accounting degree from Texas Western University now commonly known as UTEP and used his talents to serve at Shell Oil Company, Fort Bliss and White Sands Missile Range from which he retired.
He had many talents and hobbies. He enjoyed skydiving, flying, water skiing and fishing.
He was a member of Jesus and Mary Roman Catholic Chapel-SSPX and he passed peacefully to Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Beloved Mother Mary.
He will be deeply missed. Requiescat in pace.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas on January 25, 2022 from 5 pm – 9 pm with recitation of the rosary at 7 pm.
Funeral Mass will be January 26, 2022 at 11:30 am at Jesus and Mary Roman Catholic Chapel, 1401 W. Yandell Dr., El Paso, Texas. Burial with military honors to follow immediately at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas.
