Guadalupe Cordero Garcia

Guadalupe Cordero Garcia, 98, beloved by many and matriarch of a beautiful family, passed away on May 13, 2015. She was wife to Nicasio for 55 years who preceded her in death and was sister to Inez+, Juan+, Alicia+, Gabriel, Cruz+, Maggie, Refugio+, Ricardo+, Severo, Lorenzo and Alfredo. She was mother to Jesus (Lupe), Maria (Ernesto), Esperanza, Nicasio, Jr., Carmen (Ruben+), Cristina (Ramon+), Leopoldo, Jose, Alejandro+ (Liz), Jaime (Karen), Laura (Brad) and Ruben. She was blessed with 32 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh that filled the room. She cherished her family and also enjoyed her pets and plants. Steadfast in her faith, Lupe recited the Rosary faithfully. It is therefore fitting that she passed into eternal rest on the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Martin Funeral Home Central 3839 Montana Ave. El Paso Texas 79903. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 18, 2015 at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama St. El Paso, TX 79930 with interment at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragosa Rd. El Paso, TX 79907. Reception will follow internment at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
