Jesus Garcia Calderon

In his younger years, Jesus had an ambition to write songs. He would go to the saloon with his uncle where he would play his guitar and sing. One of his favorite artists was Agustin Lara. He loved to play pool, winning several trophies, playing dominoes, going to Ruidoso, walking in the woods, and spending time with his grandchildren. Jesus was always a sharp dresser, suits and hats. He worked as cross country truck driver and loved meeting new people.

Jesus is survived by his children Yolanda Wagner, Leticia Calderon, Alicia Sanchez, Sylvia Nevarez, Rosa Calderon, Wilma Garcia, Irma Padilla, Erma Calderon, Hortencia Calderon, Maria de Jesus Calderon, and Eduardo Molina; his brothers Santos Calderon, Thomas Calderon, and his sisters Ana Calderon and Maria Calderon. He also leaves to cherish his memory his grandchildren Alex Wagner, Jose Zamora III, Carlos Zamora, Erica Zamora, Vicente Sanchez, Bryan Sanchez, Briana Sanchez, Jesus Calderon, Dolores Dimas, Vanessa Dimas, Christopher Navarro, Amelia Navarro, Elza Molina and Lisa Molina, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Jesus was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Calderon, his mother Marcos Calderon and his father Juan Garcia.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00PM Thursday, August 26, at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903, with Rosary at 7:00PM. Funeral Mass will be 9:30AM Friday, August 27, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama Street, El Paso, Texas followed by 11:00AM Committal service at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
