There are few people you will meet over a lifetime that have the ability to love unconditionally, deeply and genuinely to their core. There are even fewer people that give of themselves in complete selflessness. This describes the humble and faith devoted life of Josefina Gutierrez. There was never a moment that she doubted her solid faith in God. It was this beautiful child-like faith that drove all of her actions and her ability to give of her heart and time so freely to others in need. Our Nana took us under her wing and showed us the power of prayer. She watched over us and filled our hearts with love and memories that will forever inspire our faith and ability to love. Our angel will forever remain perfect in every way. Everyone she knew has born witness to the most complete proof of the true capacity a human has to love others. Her endearing love will live on through generations of the family.

Our angel, our Nana, Josefina Gutierrez,was guided home into her Creators’ arms on Friday May 6, 2016. She was welcomed home by the love of her life, Carlos Gutierrez, her great-grandson Christian Castle, and so many others that she missed and loved so deeply. Josefina is survived by her son Carlos Gutierrez, daughter-in-law Martha Gutierrez, her grandchildren Charles, Laura, and Isaac and great-grandchildren Ashton, Emma, Jonah, Katheryn, and Eleanor Castle.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Central, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 with Rosary at St Patrick Cathedral at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 12:00 pm at St Patrick Cathedral, with a burial directly following at Fort Bliss Cemetery. Preparations are being taken care of by Martin Funeral Home Central on 3839 Montana Ave, 79903. Family has asked that in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to, Siguendo Los Pasos De Jesus (SPJ), a non-profit organization which assists hardworking families who reside in the colonias of Juarez, Mexico.
