She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Salvador Montelongo; her parents, Andres and Paz V. Ruiz; her siblings, Yolanda Alvarado and Armando Ruiz; and grandson, Sal A. Montelongo.
She is survived by her loving children Sam, Alex, and Irma, and her cherished grandchildren Albert (Moby), Roman, Monica, and Marissa.
A lifelong resident of El Paso, mom was deeply devoted to her community. She served with grace and compassion in every role she embraced, whether as PTA president, a member of neighborhood associations, or through her work with the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Always ready to lend a helping hand, mom was a woman of strength and unwavering faith, known for her deep love and genuine respect for everyone she encountered.
Her devotion to her family, friends, and community leaves a lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave., 79903. Mass will be Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 4805 Byron St., 79930. Burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
